The Process of a Preventive Care Exam
Preventive care exams start by reviewing your medical history and your known family health history. This helps us know whether you are predisposed to certain health conditions. We will also go over any treatments you are currently using for other issues so we can have a full picture of your health.
Dr. Amanambu also takes the time to ask about any concerns, symptoms, or health changes you’ve noticed. A physical exam is then performed, evaluating various aspects of overall health, including hearing, blood pressure, digestive function, skin health, and more. Additional tests or screenings may be performed as needed.
Benefits of Regular Preventive Care Exams
By performing these screenings, Dr. Amanambu can recognize any potential causes of concern with your health, and recommend lifestyle changes or medication to help. By identifying these issues early on, you can keep a relatively minor health issue from developing into a serious problem. In many cases, lifestyle changes can be enough to prevent the onset of certain diseases or health conditions. A proactive approach will help you stay healthy and enjoy a higher quality of life at any age.
By scheduling regular preventive care exams at PAX Medical Associates, you can enjoy a healthier life. Whether you already feel healthy or think you could make some improvements, a routine health exam will allow us to find ways to help you. Schedule your appointment today.
